LIFE ALONG THE LAKE

Some of us are called to be the break wall for our loved ones. When they start to falter and unknowingly allow the cumbersome parts of life to erode their own well-being and safety, we step up for them. We become their source of strength and comfort. Our lives are anything but boring.

HELLO, THERE

A life on repeat

I'm Steph. I am the creator and curator of this long overdue blog. I am a native to Ohio, but I absolutely love traveling and have lived in several states prior to returning. If you thought I was drawn to caregiving, you are wrong. I did everything in my power to not be a caregiver for family members (again), but it is something I am good at doing, whether I like it or not. I was quite honestly groomed for that as a child, but I digress. Finding humor wherever possible is beneficial for our health, so I try to find those moments of laughter and incorporate those slivers of light at every opportunity. We have to look to find the good with the bad.

I have a BS in Child Psychology, which may or may not be beneficial for those older adults regressing back into childhood. (see that humor, there?) I also have a BA in Pre-Physical Therapy and Biology and have several years experience as a graduate student in Developmental Biology. In addition to this, I also have experience with website design and editing, along with several hobbies that pair well with sitting in doctor's office waiting rooms. My husband and I have three amazing children, whom we adore and are entirely grateful for the joy they bring to our lives; and one dog that we rescued, who brings far more mud into our home than what I was prepared for. I am kidding; the kids bring more mud in than the dog.
